We believe that service to humanity is the best work of life! The Raleigh Jaycees have been serving the Triangle area and state of North Carolina since 1932
Chartered in 1932, the Raleigh Jaycees is an organization dedicated to leadership development through community service. The Raleigh Jaycees is an affiliate of the NC Junior Chamber of Commerce, the US Junior Chamber of Commerce and Junior Chamber International. This all-volunteer civic organization runs more than 100 community service and leadership development projects each year, contributing over $65,000 and countless volunteer hours to the local community.
NC Jaycee Burn Center at Chapel Hill: The North Carolina Jaycee Burn Center is dedicated to providing the crucial combination of specialized medical care and rehabilitative services required by victims of severe burns. Its highly specialized health professionals work as a team to apply the most advanced technology and treatment methods for the care of the individual patient.
Boys & Girls Homes of North Carolina at Lake Waccamaw - Jaycee Cottage: The Boys and Girls Homes of North Carolina is a privately funded non-sectarian, not-for-profit agency that provides a “family” environment for as long as is necessary and practical for children needing an out-of-home setting. The homes provide shelter, food, clothing, education, emotional support and moral/ethical/spiritual guidance to the children.
The NC Jaycee Outpatient Treatment Center at the Duke Comprehensive Cancer Center: The North Carolina Jaycees have been a partner with the Duke Comprehensive Cancer Center since 1987 and have contributed over $1,000,000 to aid the Cancer Center in making “life easier” for patients and families alike.
Goodfellows: The longest continuously running Jaycee project in the world. Each December, the chapter takes about 100 under-privileged children on a shopping spree for much needed clothes and provides them with a fun evening filled with games, dinner, and even a visit with Santa Claus.
Hugh O’Brian Youth Leadership Seminar (HOBY): For three days every summer, high school juniors interact with business and community leaders to probe issues that will help them become leaders of tomorrow. The Raleigh Jaycees run each year to give rising high school juniors from across North Carolina a leadership development experience. This unforgettable weekend combines fun activities with leadership exercises and is followed by year-long programming.
